Congratulations to our first "Woohoo Wednesday" winners, first-grader Kalionna, and fourth-grader Braylon! Way to go with keeping your promises of being positive, safe, respectful and responsible!
Each week, Principal Hanley pulls out two "purple postcards," which teachers and staff award to students who demonstrate positive behaviors. Students then "feed" the postcards to the locker for the chance to be selected. During the morning announcements on Wednesdays, Mrs. Hanley plays this year's theme song, "I'm walking on sunshine" and announces the two lucky winners, who are then called down to receive free shirts!
Mrs. Hanley also reads every postcard out loud during lunch each week, and students get to pick out candy. Postcards are then mailed home for students and their families to keep.
This is all part of our PBIS program, which incentivizes positive, safe, respectful and responsible behaviors!

What We're Learning: Our Spanish 3 and 4 classes kick off the year by refreshing their knowledge of Spanish verbs and vocabulary with this fun, interactive activity that gets the creative thinking flowing, too!
