We salute this year's Top of Class! Please join us in congratulating this year's Valedictorian, Mia Somerville, and Salutatorian, Alayna Braham.

Mrs. Lee’s and Mrs. Cooper’s history students had the opportunity to experience history on a recent field trip to Kent State University. On May 4, students traveled to the Visitors Center and Memorial to learn more about the events of May 4, 1970, during the Kent State shootings. Students explored exhibits featuring photographs, artifacts, and firsthand accounts that helped them better understand the tensions surrounding the Vietnam War and the impact of student protests during that era.

Summer Meals: This is a reminder that the Summer Meal Guardian Pick-Up Form must be completed for anyone picking up meals for children during the Summer Meals Program. The form is available on the district website. If you are unable to complete the form online, paper copies will be available at the time of meal pick-up.

Ecology Club spent the month of April making Sebring more beautiful! The club spent time cleaning up litter around Sebring but also promoted Earth Day in our schools. Ecology Club hosted two contests promoting Earth Day: a coloring contest for BL students and an Earth-day themed poem or artwork contest for McKinley students. Well done, Ecology Club, on making our school a better place!

It's awards season at Sebring! Take a look at these Award Season Snapshots from our recent Academic Awards:

Mrs. Mathias' senior English students participated in a special "Senior to Senior" experience this school year. What began as an assignment to strengthen students' interview and reporting skills, ended up establishing meaningful and lasting relationships with the residents of Copeland Oaks.
Each month senior Trojans visited the senior citizens at Copeland Oaks to complete a special writing assignment, usually consisting of an interview component and a follow-up report. The assignments were guided by monthly themes such as a Valentine's Day party and most recently, a graduation party for residents to celebrate our Trojan seniors.
The Senior to Senior project has been an enriching experience for students and Copeland residents alike, providing opportunities for connection and communication that spans generations! Take a look at some photos from this month's graduation gathering at Copeland!
