A group of our high school and elementary students recently kicked off a Big Brother Big Sister mentorship program, through which they've been matched as "bigs" and "littles" and will participate in activities once a month, led by our Family & Community Services site coordinator, Becky Robinson. At their first gathering, they met with their matches and participated in icebreaker activities and an obstacle course!

Position/Subject: Kindergarten Teacher Years in Education: 22 Years at Sebring: 17 Fav. Thing About Your Position: There are so many reasons why love teaching kindergarten! The growth that happens in kindergarten is absolutely amazing. My students start the year at so many varying levels. Some had preschool while others have never been to school before. Some know their letters and some do not. By the end of the year, they all become readers, writers, and confident students. I am blessed to teach our youngest students and experience the "magic of kindergarten" every year! Hobbies: Spending time with family, traveling, reading, movies, podcasts, and most of all, shopping! Fun Facts: I am a Gammy! My grandbabies live in Texas, so I travel there often. I have 2 very spoiled Old English Bulldogs at home. I traveled all over Europe in my 20's and my favorite memory was taking a gondola ride in Venice, Italy. Brad Paisley is my favorite singer. I am afraid of all birds. Mrs. Betsy Walsh If I could have a superpower it would be: I think that teaching kindergarten definitely counts as a super power!
Position/Subject: Kindergarten Teacher Years in Education: 3 Years at Sebring: 3 Fav. Thing About Your Position: There are so many reasons to love teaching kindergarten! Every day my classroom is filled with daily discoveries and "aha" moments. Kindergarteners have vivid imaginations, and teaching them allows me to tap into their creativity with various projects and activities. I look forward to their eager smiles every morning when they come in ready to learn and discover new things with me! Hobbies: I love to craft and make things. DIY projects are always happening in my home! Fun Facts: I can play five instruments including the piano, flute, cello, violin and mandolin.
