What We're Learning: Dante Bernard of the Mahoning Valley Historical Society visited Mrs. Laure’s 3rd-graders recently to teach them about the rich history of Native Americans who lived in this area we now call home. THANK YOU, Dante and the MV Historical Society, for taking us back in time to appreciate the Native American community and the roots of our Valley!
What We're Learning: In October, 7th-graders in Mrs. Schaffer's Language Arts class submitted original poems for the The Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County's TeenTober Acrostic Poem contest. Check out some of their creative work...and the poets behind the work!
What We're Learning: Spotlighting our 5th-graders who attended our annual Outdoor Education Camp at Canaan Acres in Louisville. Thank you to everyone who attended, and to all the hands that went into making this such a wonderful (and fun!) learning experience for our students!

What We're Learning Wednesday: A behind-the-scenes look at students in Mrs. Cooper's Psychology class, experimenting with the perception of sensory data and how it relates to the brain! Check it out! 🧠
A group of our high school and elementary students recently kicked off a Big Brother Big Sister mentorship program, through which they've been matched as "bigs" and "littles" and will participate in activities once a month, led by our Family & Community Services site coordinator, Becky Robinson. At their first gathering, they met with their matches and participated in icebreaker activities and an obstacle course!
