B.L. Miller Has Special Guests in October, Our Local Heroes!
B.L. Miller Elementary had very special guests in October, our very own local heroes in uniform!
In recognition of Blue Men of Faith, we had a visit from the Village of Sebring Police Department, who joined us for lunch and provided all of our students with snow cones!
Then, during Fire Safety Prevention Week, our local firefighters of Sebring Fire & EMS led an assembly for our students, teaching them about fire prevention, understanding warning signs of fire in your home and what you should do, including having escape routes/plans in place, and other valuable fire safety guidelines. They also explained the purpose of each piece of a firefighter's gear/uniform and gave students a tour of their fire truck and EMS vehicles!
We're so thankful for our local first responders and appreciate all that they do to keep us safe and educated!
